How to Use These Worksheets
Start with Worksheet 3 and ask the child to describe each ten-frame as “five and one more”, “five and two more” and so on. Move to Worksheet 4 when numeral recognition and counting are becoming secure.
Use the assessment on a different day. Let the child work independently where possible, praise careful effort and revisit any task that is not yet secure. It is a learning check, not a timed test.
